Our Teachers

All of our teachers are passionate about music and the development of children.

They create a fun, informal, social setting that spurs engagement and supports each child's musical development. Each of our teachers has a very unique approach to teaching the Music Together® classes. I know you can find one that fits your family.

Genevieve Schmidt

"Miss Gen" is the Director of Merry Musicians and has been teaching music to young children for the past 13 years.She was trained at CMYC in Princeton in 1994 and has had over one thousand families go through the MT program. What keeps her going is the joy she is able to bring to all the children whose lives she touches. She plays the piano and the autoharp,in class. She is very happily married and has two children, Danielle and Martin (our resident marimba player) that keep her broke and busy(in that order).
Bruce Gatewood

Bruce has had music in his life for as long as he can remember. He is active musically on stage and in the studio singing, and playing multiple instruments.He enjoys bringing the music experience to children and families. He received his BA in music from New Jersey City University and is a registered Music Together teacher. Bruce currently lives in Rockaway Twp with his wife, and their daughter Emily.
Aimee Morrill

Aimee teaches Music Together classes and the Suzuki Violin classes at the studio. Aimee began studying Suzuki violin at the age of three. She graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in violin performance from the Hartt School of Music, where she completed her training from the Suzuki pedagogy program. She established her first violin teaching studio in 1996 & joined the faculty of the Suzuki School of Newton in Massachusetts in 2001. Miss Morrill maintained a studio of over forty students while teaching group classes, chamber music, & Suzuki Prep. In addition to her teaching, Aimee has coordinated outreach concerts, summer music programs, & a state-wide Suzuki festival.Aimee will be back in the fall.
Tracy Wartman

Tracy enjoyed Music Together classes during her daughters' preschool years & is thrilled to now be on the teaching end, sharing the joy with others! Residing in Forest Lakes with her husband & three children, Tracy plays the flute, & her hobbies are reading & learning to play different instruments, including harmonica, piano, & guitar. Tracy has been giving private flute piano in her home. She also works at a Fine Arts program for Homeschoolers,teaching musicianship & recorder classes, band & choir.
Ann Majewski

Teaches the Group MYC piano lessons and private lessons at the studio.Ann first started taking piano lessons when she turned seven. She attended NJCU as a piano major. She is a mother of 3 children who keep her on the move. She has been teaching youngsters to read music for the past 20 years. She is an avid singer, having cantored for Our Lady of the Lake in Mt. Arlington for several years and is currently a member of the choir at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton. Her home is filled with music each and every day.
Kerri Anne Iapicca

Kerri is a new addition to Music Together, although she has been involved in music for as long as she can remember. She began piano lessons when she was in the 5th grade and has now been teaching piano privately out of her home for the past 10 years. Kerri is very excited to be a part of the Music Together family and can't wait to bring music into the lives of young children and their families. Kerri currently resides in Rockaway with her husband, Michael and her brand new baby. Congratulations
